THE RDI® PROGRAM

The RDI® Program is a parent-guided experiential learning curriculum for families and children affected by the Autism Spectrum and other dynamic developmental obstacles. 


The RDI® Program  is later elaborated to additional family members, teacher guides, and peer partners for even more legitimate  thinking and educational opportunities. 


The RDI® Program guides parents of children with ASD, and later, family members and schools, to use life's everyday experiences with their child to offer opportunities for learning and thinking. 


With intense remediation work and development opportunities for the critical dynamic intelligence and thinking foundations, a long-term quality of life in the real world can be possible.

The goal of The RDI® Program is simple – the highest possible quality of life in the real world – reciprocal friendships, independent living, purposeful employment, and meaningful relationships.  But the foundations for these functions must be targeted first -

The RDI® Program is a developmental remediation program that targets the foundations, discoveries and elaborations of the social-emotional intelligence needed for the highest possibility of long-term quality of life.  Families work with and under the guidance of their RDI® Consultant to target both Parent and Child Objectives to create a personalized learning program and opportunities for dynamic learning and developmental growth experiences.  Later, RDI® Consultants can provide to schools the guidance and support needed to educate this population of children, while supporting the families and the ASD child.

 


RDI® gives parents of specially challenged children the tools and strategies to offer their child a second chance at dynamic development.  Recent studies are continuing to show that parent involvement in day-to-day interventions of children with developmental challenges improves the outcomes for those children.  That successful framework has always been the cornerstone of RDI®.  Additionally, studies are showing  that a core challenge in the ASD brain is the absence of dynamic connectivity.  Dynamic, integrated, challenged thinking is naturally woven into both the child and the parent RDI® Objectives.  Also, learning and thinking objectives that are elaborated on in a dynamic, experiential educational setting are much more natural and legitimate to the child's development for the real world.

 

The RDI® Program is ... mindful, purposeful remediation of the developmental functions necessary for participation in and connections to the real world.  But RDI® offers so much more!


For Parents ...

RDI® provides an empowering intervention opportunity for you to help restore the natural guiding parent-child relationship with your special needs child, as you would a typically developing child, just in a more mindful and deliberate way. 

 RDI® empowers parents to assume their natural role as a trusted guide to their child’s development, despite their individual developmental challenges. 


For Educators ...

RDI® provides the framework for natural learning opportunities for both teacher guides and peer partners with their ASD student. 

Experiential learning offers dynamic opportunities for all students, but the ASD student might need specialized programming to elaborate these learning experiences in the school setting.  Whether in a private school, a therapeutic learning environment or the neighborhood home school, RDI® can support the professional teaching team and the students they serve for real world learning opportunities.


For the Child ...

RDI® provides a dynamic intelligence learning curriculum that targets remediation of the core developmental deficits facing the individual, offering them the opportunity to develop their self awareness and self motivation to engage the real world with confidence and competence. 

RDI® encompasses daily living experiences to develop real world dynamic intelligence for the best opportunities for long-term quality of life by remediating the developmental deficits of Autism.  Children begin to embrace change and new experiences as opportunities to learn, rather than fearful uncomfortable situations to avoid.  Flexible thinking is celebrated and internalized for use in future thinking and elaborations in the real world.  RDI® gives every challenged child a second chance to master the developmental functions for dynamic intelligence in our changing world.
